Category 1 Thermography (Classroom)

This course prepares students for qualification as a Category 1 Certified Thermographer.

Topics covered include:

• Introduction to thermography (history, applications, camera technology)
• Heat & temperature (contact vs. non-contact measurement, heat transfer basics)
• Infrared theory (scientific laws, emissivity, reflectivity, calibration)
• Measurement techniques (environmental considerations, camera setup)
• Camera measurement tools and software familiarisation
• ITC Certification Test (50-question multiple-choice test)
• Optional BINDT Certification Exam (60 questions, ISO 18436 PCN CMGEN APPB)
