Course Overview
A prerequisite for Category 2 is holding a valid Category 1 certificate. This five-day course expands upon Level 1 knowledge, covering:
- Infrared physics, heat science, and measurement techniques
- Equipment selection, data analysis, corrective actions, and reporting
- Blackbodies, emissivity, atmospheric transmission, detector technologies
- Optical materials, calibration, IR measurement systems
- IR Windows & materials, transient thermographic NDT
- ITC Certification Test (held on last day of course)
