Parrot have partnered with NEOTech in order to produce the newest the Parrot Anafi USA. It is produced and assembled in their facility in Boston Massachusetts.

The ANAFI USA is about 50% heavier than the Parrot ANAFI Thermal coming in at just under 500g. The battery life on the ANAFI USA is 32-minutes and it comes with three batteries. Even though it’s a larger drone than the ANAFI Thermal it’s the same amount of decibels. When people have been flying the drone they’ve been surprised as because the pitch is lower the drone sounds quieter than the ANAFI Thermal.

It has three cameras on there for visible, one is a wide-angle camera the other is a 32 x digital zoom. The third Thermal camera is a FLIR Boson Sensor around twice as more capable on Thermal Imaging. On the Zoom Camera the ANAFI Thermal has 3x Zoom and the ANAFI USA has 32 x Zoom so this is a considerable step-up.

The Parrot ANAFI USA has various vertical markets, we have the Enterprise users which include Surveyors and Inspection because of the high capability of the Zoom and Thermal cameras. Then we have the Public Safety sector, the drone will be a crucial additional to First Responders including Police forces, Fire Services and Search and Rescue organisations.

It doesn’t have a CE marking so it classifies as transitional aircraft. As it’s ‘flying weight’ is less than 2kg it is in the A2 Transitional class, meaning under the new legislation you are able to fly in the A2 class No closer than 50m horizontally from uninvolved persons and an A2 CofC theoretical test has been passed.
