As the company explored the potential of 3D imaging, they upgraded their drone fleet with the DJI Matrice 300 RTK and DJI Zenmuse P1. These additions enabled the company to provide clients with detailed and comprehensive data. The Matrice 300 RTK, combined with sophisticated payloads like the DJI Zenmuse L1, has become integral to their operations.

The Emesent Hovermap is a cutting-edge LiDAR mapping solution that can be mounted on drones to capture high-resolution 3D data. This technology allows Castle Keep Surveys to conduct detailed surveys in challenging environments, providing accurate and comprehensive maps and models. The Hovermap’s ability to operate in GPS-denied environments makes it ideal for complex survey tasks.

Recognising the need for skilled operators, Castle Keep Surveys invested in training, boasting a team of 10 trained pilots. The partnership with Coptrz began in 2019, when James Pick initiated the first training session. Several team members have since been trained on the A2 CofC and are progressing through the GVC. This ongoing training ensures that the team can efficiently utilise drone technology, reducing the time required for surveys and enhancing overall efficiency.
