The Coptrz Summer Sale is now live. Until 11.59pm BST on 31st August 2026, you can save up to 50% on RPC-L1 Part A drone training across every venue and every route.
Whether you’re new to commercial drone operations or you’re a GVC holder looking to convert, this is the most cost-effective time to book your place on the UK’s leading RPC-L1 Part A training course.
What’s Included in the Sale
Two discounts are available for the duration of the sale:
- 25% off RPC-L1 Part A Face-to-Face courses
- 50% off RPC-L1 Part A Online and Conversion courses
The sale runs across all venues: Leeds, Kent, Edinburgh, and Birmingham. Discounts apply to all bookings made before the deadline.
Which Course Route Is Right for You?
There are three ways to complete the RPC-L1 Part A with Coptrz. All three are included in the sale:
Face-to-Face Training (25% off)
An in-person course covering classroom theory instruction and assessment, ground and practical flight instruction, and your final practical flight assessment. The fastest way to complete the full qualification in a single block, with expert instructors throughout.
Available at our Leeds and Kent centres, with practical flying also available at Edinburgh and Birmingham. View available dates and book here.
Online Theory + Face-to-Face Practical (50% off)
Complete all theory modules at your own pace, online, from anywhere. Once you’ve passed your online theory assessment, practical flight instruction and your flight assessment are completed at one of our venues in Leeds, Kent, Edinburgh, or Birmingham.
Ideal if you want flexibility on the theory side but want to get your practical done in a single focused session. View available dates and book here.
GVC to RPC-L1 Part A Conversion Course (50% off)
For existing GVC holders making the transition to the new framework. No RPC-L1 Part A theory exam is required. You’ll still complete theory training, but the conversion route recognises your existing qualification and focuses on the practical flight instruction and assessment needed to achieve RPC-L1 Part A.
Practical sessions are available at Leeds, Kent, Edinburgh, and Birmingham. View available dates and book here.
Why Now Is a Good Time to Get Qualified
The RPC-L1 Part A is the CAA-recognised qualification replacing the GVC as the standard for commercial drone pilots operating in the Specific Category. To understand how it fits alongside other UK drone licences and qualifications, the Drone Licence Hub covers the full picture.
The GVC will no longer be issued after 31st December 2027, and the CAA now expects RPC certificates to be used for UK SORA-based Operational Authorisations. Pilots who qualify now won’t need to retrain later.
The RPC-L1 Part A is also the first step in a structured pathway. It sits below RPC-L1 Part B, RPC-L2, and RPC-L3, which unlock Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) and more advanced operations as you progress.
Getting qualified before the summer deadline means you benefit from reduced course fees and enter the second half of the year with your certification in place.
