Our Story

In 2000, we had no jobs and no income. We scrambled together £6,000 maxing out our credit cards and bought some equipment from Italy, sold it to Japan for £12,000 and we were off.

For the next year we worked from our bedrooms with no salary, letting out rooms in our house to strangers to pay the bills. The next 6 years were a whirlwind, achieving on average 126% year on year growth, delivering 3 world firsts and being presented with 2 Queen’s Awards for Enterprise at Buckingham Palace – the Queen’s G&T’s tasted sweet that day.

Then in 2008 we nearly lost it all when the global credit crunch hit, forcing us to shed a quarter of our team and invoke a 4-day week. But we rode the storm on the front foot and came back stronger with total focus on disruptive innovation and the rest is history.

In 2015 we got excited about the disruptive potential for drones in commercial applications and the amazing COPTRZ was born – the bank said it was the best business plan they’d ever seen.
