Capture to deliverable · Live workflow day

From walking the site to a survey deliverable.

A hands-on day with the Emesent GX1 and N4ce at New Place Hotel. You will walk the grounds, capture them yourself, then watch that same environment processed all the way through to a finished survey deliverable. Not a product pitch. The whole workflow, start to finish.

Register your place

Tell us who you are and we will confirm your place by email.

Limited places only. Enough for everyone to get the scanner in their hands.

Your details are secure. We never share your data.

Why this one is worth a day

You capture the venue. Then you see the venue.

Most demonstrations show you someone else's data from somewhere you have never been. This one uses the building you are standing in.

    01 / Hands-on

    You walk it, not us

Everyone gets time with the GX1 in their own hands. Internal rooms, stairs, indoor to outdoor transitions, elevations and grounds.

    02 / Your own dataset

    Data you can relate to

We capture New Place beforehand and process it fully, so when the point cloud goes up on screen you have just walked through it.

03 / All the way through

    Past the point cloud

N4ce join us to answer the question we get asked most: you have got the point cloud, now what do you actually do with it?

    The day

10:00 to 14:00, and worth all of it

Four hours, built around getting the scanner in your hands and the workflow on the screen.

    10:00

    Arrival, coffee and networking

    10:20

    Welcome

Introductions from Coptrz and Emesent, and what the day covers.

    10:30

    Emesent GX1

Overview, latest developments, Trimble Connect integration, workflows and the use cases that matter to your projects.

    11:00

    Live demonstration and hands-onHands-on

We walk the GX1 around New Place: internal rooms and corridors, stairs and levels, indoor to outdoor transitions, external elevations, grounds and paths. Then you take it.

    12:00

    Lunch and networking

    12:45

    From capture to point cloud

The Aura and Aura Cloud workflow using the New Place dataset, so you can match what is on screen to the corridor you just walked down.

    13:00

    N4ce workflowPartner session

Thirty minutes taking the New Place point cloud into a practical survey workflow and out as a finished deliverable. This is the session that answers the question we get asked most: I have got the point cloud, now what?

    13:30

    Q&A, hands-on and networking

Time with Coptrz, Emesent and N4ce to talk through your own applications, and more time with the GX1.

    14:00

    Finish

    Where it applies

Bring your own projects to the conversation

New Place gives us the mix of environments that survey teams actually deal with.

Scan to BIM and measured building

Rapid capture of buildings and complex internal environments.

    Engineering and infrastructure

Bridges, tunnels, structures, underpasses and awkward environments.

    Topographic and asset capture

Roads, car parks, drainage, chambers, street furniture and general site capture.

    Industrial

Plant rooms, pipework, production environments and complex facilities.

    Marine and ports

Dockside infrastructure, vessels, warehouses and associated engineering. Particularly relevant around the Solent.

    Indoor to outdoor mapping

Continuous capture between internal and external environments without setting a tripod down each time.

For the surveyors in the room

    Mobile mapping, with survey control

The first question we get from survey teams is about accuracy and control. We would rather answer it properly on the day than make claims on a web page.

    RTK

    Georeferenced as you go

How the GX1's integrated RTK positions the trajectory, what it needs from a base or network correction, and what happens to the data when the signal is not there.

    Control and check points

    Tied in and verified

Where control still matters, how check points are used to demonstrate the result to a client, and what a sensible verification routine looks like on a real job.

    Method selection

    When to use what

Where mobile mapping is the right call, where a static scanner or total station still wins, and how teams combine them on the same site rather than choosing one.

We are not going to plaster accuracy figures across this page. Bring your tolerances and your deliverable specification, and we will work through what is achievable and how you would evidence it.

Got a project you are considering mobile mapping for? Bring it.

The Coptrz, Emesent and N4ce teams will be on hand all day to talk through how they would approach it. Bring the site, the constraints and the deliverable you need to produce, and you will leave with a view on whether this is the right method for it.

    The venue

    New Place Hotel, Hampshire

A Grade I listed manor house designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, set in 32 acres of landscaped gardens and woodland. Chosen deliberately over a conference room: the mix of period interiors, modern extensions, courtyards and open grounds gives the GX1 exactly the kind of environment that makes a static scanner hard work.

Centrally placed between Southampton and Portsmouth, with free parking on site and no city centre to navigate on the way in.

    Before you register

    Questions we get asked

Do I need to be looking at buying a GX1?
Not at all. The day is built around the workflow rather than the sale. If you are weighing up whether mobile mapping fits alongside what your team already does, that is exactly the reason to come.
Will I actually get to use it?
Yes. That is exactly why we are capping numbers. There is a full hour of hands-on capture in the morning and more time after the sessions, so you get the scanner in your hands rather than watching someone else carry it.
Do I need any experience with mobile mapping?
No. There will be people in the room who scan every week and people who have never held a mobile mapper. The sessions are pitched to be useful either way.
    Can I bring a colleague?
Yes, just tell us how many places you need on the form. Numbers are limited, so larger groups are worth booking early.
    What should I bring?
Yourself and your projects. If you have a site or a job you are trying to work out how to capture, bring the details and we can talk it through on the day.
