If you haven’t received any information please check your junk inbox, our team enrol candidate immediately after purchase. If you purchase the FREE Modules 1-4 option, you will be enrolled on a Friday. 

You will need to sign up to the course in order to get the information. We provide a Dropbox folder with additional candidate resources 

 There is no distinction between recreational and commercial flying, please read the regulations guide on our website to find out if this qualification is right for you. If flying commercially, you will need to hold EC785/2004 compliant insurance and the GVC is the course for you.  

Both GVC and A2 CofC courses will accommodate any aircraft up to 25kg.

If you have enrolled on Modules 1-4, you will need to pay for Module 5 before you take the test, you will be prompted during the course when you are ready 

You will receive all the information directly to your email, once you have been enrolled.

You do not need a drone to start the training course, but you require one to undertake the self-monitored practical flight training. 

The course consists of approximately 8 hours of e-learning and at least 2 hours of self-guided practical flight training. 

You must undertake self-monitored practical flight training. 

No, the operations manual is only needed if you go for the GVC, however for some organisations, an operations manual may be appropriate. 

You will pay each time you need to take the exam, so make sure you complete the course thoroughly.

If you hold a current PFCO/Operational Authorisation, it can be beneficial to also complete the A2 CofC allowing you to operate within the Open Category (Specifically if your aircraft is below 500g). 

You are required to obtain a flyer and operator ID prior to flying your aircraft. The operator ID costs £9 annually. You can obtain both here: https://register-drones.caa.co.uk/individual 

We can exempt you from the self-monitored practical flight training provided you can provide ALL of the following: 

• Valid PfCO / Operational Authorisation 
• NQE/RAE Practical Flight Assessment Certificate 
• Flight Logs showing at least 2hrs of flight time in the previous 90 days

Unless you hold a PfCO / Operational Authorisation and can provide the relevant documents (see above), everybody needs to undertake the self-monitored practical flight training regardless of flight experience. 

The examination must be undertaken on a computer, with a webcam. It cannot be undertaken with a tablet/phone.
