DJI has released a new firmware update for the Mini 3 Pro, its latest mini drone that’s easy to take with you anywhere you go. This is the first major update to the drone since May and has unlocked new features such as obstacle detection and a complete series of smart shooting modes.

Mini 3 Pro aircraft firmware version v01.00.0201, DJI RC-N1 remote controller firmware version v04.14.0221, and DJI RC remote controller firmware version v01.01.0000 are all available right now.

To see all the changes that come with this firmware update, you’ll need to update the DJI Fly app to version 1.6.8.

Here’s what you can expect…

What’s new?

– FocusTrack, QuickShots (Dronie, Rocket, Circle, Helix, and Boomerang), and Hyperlapse are now available in portrait mode.

–  The interval time setting for Hyperlapse after take-off now has a two-second option.

– Continuous autofocus (AF-C) can now be used while video is being recorded.

– Added USB mode. When the drone is connected to a computer and USB mode is turned on, disables image transmission to extend the time for copying footage.

What’s updated?

– Increased camera speed when taking photos

– Videos made with Hyperlapse are now more stable

– Hyperlapse has increased dynamic range

– Optimised image quality of recordings at night in D-Cinelike

– Optimised the anti-interference ability and the transmission distance of the image transmission system

– Fixed the DJI RC-N1 remote controller’s battery level indicators so that they perform efficiently.

– Improved how the battery load handles when flying in locations with strong winds.

What’s been fixed?

– The flickering in videos recorded in D-Cinelike

– False prompt showing up on the DJI RC remote controller or an Android device when portrait mode is selected in intelligent flight modes

– Optimised the vignetting effect in DNG photos.

DJI’s newest drone is the Mini 3 Pro, which has new features like 4K/60fps video, ActiveTrack, tri-directional obstacle sensing, and a 90-degree gimbal rotation for taking high-quality vertical photos for social media.

Its last firmware update fixed a problem with QuickTransfer, a feature that lets DJI drone users quickly transfer photos and videos from the Fly app to their mobile device over Wi-Fi.
