The challenge before drones
Before the introduction of the Flyability Elios 3, Nexus faced several challenges in inspecting and maintaining the underground metro station. Traditional methods were time-consuming, costly, and posed significant safety risks to personnel. The inability to access certain confined spaces and the need for extensive preparatory work, such as setting up scaffolding, were major disadvantages.

With the Elios 3 drone, Nexus experienced a transformative shift in their inspection process:
Digital Twins
The Elios 3's LiDAR data facilitated the creation of accurate 3D models of the underground metro station. This proved invaluable for visualising defects and planning maintenance work.
Safety
The drone eliminated the hazards associated with confined space entry and working at height.
Savings
The drone based approach was not only faster but also more cost effective. It reduced the need for additional personnel and removed the expenses associated with scaffolding setup.
Speed
All necessary data was collected in a mere 8-minute flight, eliminating the need for prolonged preparatory work.
The Solution
Elios 3, the leading indoor mapping and inspection drone, turns asset data into actionable digital insights. Boasting advanced computer vision and LiDAR, it simplifies inspections, integrates reporting with 3D asset visualisation, and offers intuitive piloting with built-in situational awareness.
