Precision agricultural practitioners worldwide now have access to cutting-edge productivity solutions thanks to the DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral.

DJI, the global leader in drone technology, designed this exciting model which has revolutionary features such as a multispectral imaging system that can instantly record data on crop growth for more efficient crop production.

✓  Compact and portable; weighing just 951 grams to easily fold and fit into an ordinary bag.
✓  Two-in-one RGB and Multispectral camera to monitor and collect a wide range of data.
✓  4 5MP sensors that scan in the green, red, red edge, and near infrared wavelengths.
✓  RGB camera with 4/3-inch CMOS, 20MP image sensor, and 1/2000 maximum speed mechanical shutter
✓  43 minutes total flight time.

The DJI Mavic 3 Multispectral is a small, portable precision agriculture system that combines an RGB camera with a multispectral sensor to scan and analyse crop growth in detail.

MAVIC 3M: The Two-in-One Camera System

The Mavic 3 Multispectral is a two-in-one camera system that combines a RGB and Multispectral Imaging System to examine and gather a variety of data to produce results on the field.

The RGB camera is equipped with:

  • a 4/3-inch CMOS
  • a 20MP image sensor
  • a mechanical shutter with a maximum speed of 1/2000

It can instantly gather image data and manage high-speed continuous recording at the fastest interval of 0.7 seconds, considerably enhancing the effectiveness of operations over the fields.

The four-lens Multispectral camera offers more precise directional information. By detecting subtleties that the human eye cannot see, this camera aids users in developing a deeper understanding of crop conditions.

Each of the four multispectral cameras can collect 5 million pixels and scan for the wavelengths listed below:

  • Green (G): 560nm ± 16nm
  • Red (R): 650 nm ± 20 nm
  • Red edge (RE): 730 nm ± 20 nm
  • Near-infrared (NIR) 860 nm ± 26 nm

Mavic 3M enables applications like high-precision aerial surveys, crop growth monitoring, and natural resource assessments by combining these two cameras.

RTK Module: Centimetre-Level Positioning

To precisely determine the location of each camera’s imaging centre, the drone, its camera, and the RTK module are synced at the microsecond level. As a result, Mavic 3M can carry out high-precision aerial surveys without the need for ground control points.

With a long battery life of up to 43 minutes, the Mavic 3M can survey and map an area up to 2 square kilometres in just one flight.

O3 video transmission

Designed for safer operation, the O3 video transmission combines two transmitting channels and four receiving channels with an added ultra-long transmission distance of 15 kilometres. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing on the Mavic 3M helps it accurately avoid obstacles and detects them in all directions for greater safety.

Third-Party Cloud Platform

Mavic 3M can be connected into multiple ecosystems to offer limitless possibilities for smart agriculture, assisting professionals and partners in diverse fields.

Users can link Mavic 3M to a third-party cloud platform directly through the built-in DJI Cloud API (based on the MQTT protocol in Pilot 2) to gather data, live video, photo data, and other information without having to create a separate app.

Additionally supported by Mavic 3M is Mobile SDK 5 (MSDK5), which enables customers to easily create customised control apps for applications like intelligent monitoring.

The Mavic 3M includes:

  • One year Shield Protection (Basic)
  • A three-month, one device DJI Terra Full licence
  • One year access to the DJI SmartFarm Platform

The DJI SmartFarm Platform generates NDVI vegetation index to give data for more effective and targeted crop treatment.

Automatic field scouting can detect crop abnormalities and perform intelligence analysis, allowing a single worker to manage 70 hectares of land.
