COPTRZ has today announced that its CAA PfCO drone training course has received official Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation from the CPD Development Service.

The course, which trains drone operators to attain their Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO), is already approved by the Civil Aviation Authority and recognised as the pre-eminent learning programme for aspiring commercial drone operators in the UK. COPTRZ anticipates that the CPD accreditation will enhance the CAA PfCO drone training course’s credentials even further, strengthening its industry-leading status.

With CPD accreditation, the COPTRZ CAA PfCO drone training course possesses a stamp of quality which has achieved all required Continuing Professional Development benchmarks and standards. The accreditation will provide prospective students with the reassurance that the course’s learning value has been scrutinised by an independent assessment team to ensure its integrity.

CPD approval follows strict guidelines. Businesses enrolled in the CPD scheme encourage their employees to complete a set number of CPD hours per month. With accreditation having been achieved, the COPTRZ CAA PfCO drone training course can now be counted towards CPD hours by those who complete it.

The development represents another commitment from COPTRZ to the continued professional development of drone operators who are dedicated to building a successful drone business. COPTRZ recently announced the launch of three new training workshops, including An Introduction to Pix4D 3D Mapping, BVLoS Permissions Training and its Aerial Photography Course.

To date, COPTRZ has successfully trained over 700 drone operators, as it continues to contribute to the rapid growth of commercial drone operations across a plethora of UK industries.

Jon Rowland, Head of Training at COPTRZ said: “We are delighted to receive full CPD accreditation for our COPTRZ CAA PfCO drone training course, and are confident that the programme can now further aid both business growth and personal career development for participants. The accreditation means that this course has now been recognised to deliver the highest standards of training for drone pilots looking to attain their PfCO, and we believe it underlines our expertise as a leading provider of drone training courses.
